The first book I'm giving away is my latest collection of poetry Cadaver Dogs from No Tell Books and the second book I'm giving away is Danielle Pafunda's Natural History Rape Museum from  Bloof Books. Pafunda's book hit me hard right in the solar plexus and I stopped breathing from the first page and after a while I thought her fire in these poems might cause damage to the writing I'm doing now but by the end I breathed again and my work was inspired. Easily the best book I've read so far this year and Bloof Books is the little press that could as far as I'm concerned. Edgy considered interesting and modern and hey! not afraid of strong women writers. And I have today just now decided to add a copy of my chapbook Navigate, Amelia Earhart's Letters Home also from No Tell Books. Bonus!

All you have to do to win is leave a comment below by April 30th at midnight!

I'm currently working on a book about Henry Darger. I can't write much about him here because it makes me want to throw up. As does writing about my writing process which mostly includes sitting in bed eating graham crackers and scribbling on paper and tons and tons of research at least this time around. Here are some links to some of  my Henry poems:

Everyday Genius
The Poetry Foundation

And here are  links to the poetry and writing blogs I visit every every every day in search of inspiration:

Eileen Tabios
Tom Beckett
Alison Stein
Bhanu Kapil
Elizabeth Aquino
Frances Farmer Is My Sister (Kate Zambreno's blog is closed right now but I light a black candle every day in hopes that she will start it up again)
Kelli Russell Agodon (Kelli has the distinction of being my best meat world pen pal EVER)
Scott Odom
Stacy Elaine Dacheux
Lulu LaBonne
Elisa Gabbert

and feel free to peruse my blogroll to the right there all kinds of interesting funny weird people and a list of artists too

Remember April 30th is the deadline. I will toss your names on the floor and let Paris the Genius Cat pick the winner.
